The Day After Tomorrow has been called an epic-scale disaster flick that uses global warming as a politically correct excuse for destroying the word. This movie's strength is its visual onslaught of destruction and disaster on a global scale--from tornadoes ravaging Los Angeles to three cataclysmic blizzard hurricanes that devour the earth.

The cast is decent and has an underlying story of a struggle by a father to save his son and I think its supposed to make you wonder what could potentially happen if there would ever be sudden or drastic change to the atmosphere. In the end though, its really all about things that go boom. If you want a movie with a great story this isn't the movie for you but if you want a movie with amazing special effects that has a decent story in the background that you at least care to try and follow between the blow up scenes then you have found your movie.
